Volunteer Opportunities

Serving with Hands and Hearts!

Very little would happen at Chester Eastside in the absence of so many dedicated and generous volunteers. We strive to create cohesive teams to offer not just relief from need, but a warm and caring welcome. Most of all, we rejoice in the call to give of ourselves while seeking to lift up anyone who comes through our doors. Volunteers can assist in so many ways:

• • Serve in the Food Pantry, Open Closet or Hot Meals Programs
  • Tutor or mentor in ongoing programs
  • Offer support on a single project basis
  • Provide professional expertise
  • Summer Camp Assistant Teachers
  • Make physical donations
  • Non-perishable and perishable food
  • Winter Coats
  • and so much more!

How do I volunteer?

1. Go to cei.ivolunteer.com
2. You will be directed to a page that lists our “events”: The Open Table, The Food Pantry, The Community Garden, The After School Program, and the Clothes Closet
3. Click the one for which you want to sign up
4. The next screen will have the days and times volunteers are needed; press “serve” to sign up for task and time you would like to volunteer
5. The first time you sign up you will get an email to verify that it’s correct (it won’t happen again)
   after you sign up you will get an email confirming your registration
6. And if you realize you cannot keep a commitment you can send a message that the admins will get right away and ideally have time to find a replacement
